Exercise: Keep out of the way

 

The drawing on the right shows vessels on a collision course. By pressing the cell in the table, the sign (V) will appear and say to the must to give way vessel, as indicated in rules 11 to 18 Section II (Conduct of vessels in sight of one another)

Regarding two vessels, The practice to follow is the following example:
Is ship number 1, supouse to give way to vessel number 2?
If the answer is correct, please mark (V) in the correct cell and so on.

Regarding stand-on vessel leave the cell empty.

Checking the answers:

  • Cell color stays WHITE - Correct answer.
  • cell colour Wrong answer - Vessel directed to keep out of the way.
  • cell colour - Wrong answer - The vessel should keep her course and speed. ( But she is obliged to behave As mentioned in rule 17 . "Action by stand-on vessel)"
  • cell colour Incorrect - The vessel keep out of the way of her self
